View the wireframe of a 3D model

Check mesh density, edge flow and triangulation. Show the wireframe over the shaded model or on its own, and read the triangle count of every mesh.

Nothing to install

Works in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop and mobile.

How it works

  1. 01

Drop a model: GLB, FBX, OBJ, STL and 20+ more formats.

  2. 02

The wireframe is drawn over the model. Switch to wire-only or hide it in the View and Material panels.

  3. 03

Open Diagnostics to see triangles per mesh.

Questions

Why does my model look so dense in wireframe?+

Scans and sculpts often have hundreds of thousands of triangles. Wireframe shows where the density is wasted, so you know where to reduce polygons.

Is this the real mesh of the file?+

It shows the triangles stored in the file. Quads are split into triangles when the file is opened, so you see what a game engine would draw.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?+

No. The model is opened and drawn in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.

Need game-ready trees, plants and rocks?

FoliMesh generates vegetation and rocks with LOD0–LOD3, collision and a pivot at the base — GLB, FBX or OBJ for any engine.
