Preview LOD levels by distance
Open a model with _LOD0, _LOD1… nodes. Zoom out and the viewer switches to simpler levels automatically, the way a game engine does.

How it works
- 01
Drop a GLB with LOD nodes. No LODs yet? Make them in the LOD generator.
- 02
Choose Auto by distance, then zoom in and out. The current level is shown.
- 03
Pick a level by hand to inspect its triangles and silhouette.
Questions
How are the switch distances chosen?+
By how much of the frame the model fills: LOD0 up close, then each level at about half the size of the previous one. Engines let you set exact thresholds.
My model has no LODs.+
Generate them with the LOD generator. It creates LOD0–LOD4 in one GLB with the _LOD suffix.
Which names are detected?+
Names with LOD followed by a digit, such as Tree_LOD2, tree.lod1 or LOD0.
