View PBR material channels
Debug materials by looking at each channel alone: unlit base color, normals, roughness, metalness and vertex colors.

How it works
- 01
Drop a model with PBR materials. GLB and glTF are the best fit.
- 02
Pick a channel in the Material panel. Values are shown as they are stored.
- 03
Compare with the shaded view to find wrong maps or inverted values.
Questions
Which channels share a texture?+
In glTF, roughness is stored in the green channel and metalness in the blue channel of the same texture. The viewer reads exactly those.
Why is the whole model one gray?+
The material has no texture for that channel, so the single factor value is shown.
Which formats carry PBR materials?+
glTF and GLB store PBR directly. FBX and OBJ usually carry older materials without roughness or metalness maps, so those views show a flat value.
