About glTF

GL Transmission Format 2.0

glTF is the JSON flavour of glTF 2.0. The scene description lives in the .gltf file, while geometry sits in a .bin file and textures in images — select them all together.

About USDZ

Universal Scene Description

USDZ is a zipped Universal Scene Description package used for AR on iPhone and iPad (AR Quick Look). The viewer also opens .usda, .usdc and .usd.

How it works

No. The glTF file is read and converted in your browser; nothing is sent to a server.

Why are textures missing after converting glTF?+

Textures stored as separate files must be selected together with the model. USDZ keeps them only if the format supports textures.
