Compress GLB and glTF files

Make models load faster and use less video memory. Geometry is packed with Meshopt; textures are resized and converted to WebP or to GPU-ready KTX2 (Basis Universal).

Private

Files are processed on your device and never sent to a server.

Free, no account

Nothing to install

Works in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop and mobile.

How it works

  1. 01

Drop a .glb (or a glTF with its files).

  2. 02

Choose geometry compression, the maximum texture size and WebP.

  3. 03

Click “Compress”, compare sizes and download the new GLB.

Questions

How much smaller will my file be?+

Usually 3–10×: textures give the biggest win, Meshopt cuts geometry by 50–80%.

Will it still open in engines?+

Three.js, Babylon.js, model-viewer and Godot read Meshopt and WebP. For Unity and Unreal choose “Quantize” or “None” for geometry.

WebP or KTX2?+

WebP makes the file smallest. KTX2 stays compressed on the GPU — 4–8× less video memory — which matters most in games and on phones.
