Questions

Where do I get heightmaps?+

Export them from World Machine, Gaea or a map service, or paint one in any image editor.

Which resolution should I use?+

256 is a good default; 512 gives more detail but four times more triangles.

Can I 3D-print it?+

Yes — enable “Solid base” to close the mesh, then download STL.
